“Mesh AI” at the forefront of COVID-19 battle alongside our frontline healthcare providers, volunteers, and change-makers

Hospitals and providers are under unprecedented pressures to respond to the #COVID19 pandemic.

Press release: March 25th, 2020

Monthly subscriptions to access the “Mesh AI” scheduling and communication platform fully waived* during the coronavirus pandemic for more units

Globally, governments at all levels, corporations of all sizes, and citizens are coming together to overcome the unprecedented challenges we face against this coronavirus pandemic.

We face these as humanity as a whole. It is remarkable yet not surprising how quickly the virus has spread to all corners of the planet in such record time. It does demonstrate how we are truly and literally connected to one another. We are in this together for the losses, both human or financial.  And it will be together that we can truly succeed in minimizing the overall losses to lives and livelihoods.

Mesh AI allows managers, admins, and planners see in real-time where staff are allocated and are working and how to schedule shifts to maximize the units’ productivity.

Mesh Scheduling Inc. announced its support for the healthcare industry on March 6th with the removal of monthly subscription fees for its scheduling and communication platform Mesh AI (read: mesh eh eye). The world’s number one Socially Intelligent Staff Scheduler (SISS) cloud platform of choice for healthcare positioned itself to be able to support all affected health units globally during this catastrophic pandemic.

Today, we are also pleased to announce that we have extended the support program to include units and sectors outside of healthcare. Mesh AI’s CEO spoke about this earlier today:

March 24th, 2020 Mesh AI board decision:

Epidemics, pandemics, and infectious diseases put tremendous strains on staffing in hospitals and other health units as well as a variety of support and volunteer networks.

COVID-19 in particular is hurting the availability of care providers, perhaps the most important need in a health crisis, in two ways. Firstly, as the frontline staff contract the disease or get quarantined for safety reasons, they are taken off their duties and shifts. Secondly, staff need to work in entirely different modes with new teams, new responsibilities, and in most cases with prolonged shifts to support their units and help save patients' lives. Fatigue, stress, and anxiety lead to loss of productivity and burnout.

MeshAI.io helps with better communication among staff, sharing their needs and limitations, and responding to last-minute staffing changes. It also helps administrators and decision-makers such as hospital chiefs of staff or staffing managers to plan shifts and staffing with proper automation, data, and intelligence to maximize productivity and minimize disruptions and cost. As such, it fully supports both employees and employers to manage their roles efficiently and deliver life-saving care despite reduced staff under maximal demand.

We also acknowledge the great work done by our women and men in critical supply chains, delivering goods, stocking shelves in local supermarkets, dispensing and mailing medications, and various support roles that keep people, animals, and livelihoods alive and healthy.

Like many of you, we received calls from many experts and governments including Canada’s Prime Minister to step in and do whatever we can to help. Mesh AI has responded to calls to mobilize science and technology to do critical work needed to protect the health and safety of all Canadians, and people around the world, during the COVID-19 outbreak:  https://pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releases/2020/03/23/canadas-plan-mobilize-science-fight-covid-19.

As such, we just have provided our support through the program at https://buyandsell.gc.ca/ as of today.

With this latest announcement, units in healthcare, volunteer teams, nonprofits, and any related sector that is directly impacted by the pandemic or is under pressure to deliver services and support to their communities can qualify to use Mesh AI without monthly subscriptions and the typical wait times of 4-6 months* previously applied to for-profit customers prior to the pandemic. These include but are not limited to: delivery teams, food banks, food delivery volunteers, healthcare family support volunteers, animal shelters, homeless shelters, drug and pharmaceutical drop-off units, and mental health and counselling programs.

We are pleased to see how Mesh AI automatic scheduling, Mesh Auto-suggester (staff recommendation), and Meshages are saving time and eliminating costly errors and frustrations. The need for calls, texts, and emails used to call staff to urgent meetings, announce procedures, broadcast hospital codes, and respond to the rapidly-changing nature of the situations at hand in Canada, US, Australia, and other affected areas is now fully eliminated. All communications and planning are fully centralized on the platform. Latest information and all the coronavirus preparedness are now communicated, implemented, and enforced on the Mesh AI platform (click here for the steps and a hospital checklist).
